What is the Event All About?
The Downtown Appetite for Art event has a taste to suit everyone. First and foremost is the Art Auction. The art auction consists of art pieces ranging from contemporary paintings, traditional paintings, sculpture, to mixed media art, lighted art designs, pottery and more! Local artists have donated pieces to the event to auction off. We will have a live auction for our pieces valued at well over $1000 and a silent art auction for all other pieces. You can bet this will be your chance to get some fabulous art for a great deal and also donate to a good cause*!
Secondly, we have a Silent Auction of various other items donated by local businesses and artists, ranging from wine and food gift baskets, to sports memorabilia, gift certificates, professional services, jewelry and more!
But that's not all. We have wine and hors d'oeuvres tasting from local businesses to truly give you an “appetite” for art.
Again in 2008, we will have the very successful VIP lounge which will feature upscale wine and hors d'oeuvres and additional exclusive features. VIP passes are sold separately in addition to your event ticket, and there is limited space.

What is the Dress for the Occasion?
Creative Black Tie is suggested since it is a special night.
Art Auction/Silent Auction Purchases:
We will be able to accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and cash for purchases of the Art Items as well as the silent auction packages the night of the event. Checks will not be accepted the night of the event.
General Event Details:

\What are the Ticket Prices?
Ticket prices for entry to the event start at $50. You can purchase tickets for $50 apiece until May 31st. Beginning June 1st, ticket prices will increase to $75 apiece, and from July 1st until the event date tickets will be $100 apiece. If the event is not sold out in advance, tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $100.
\What Does My Ticket Purchase Include?
Your ticket purchase includes live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres and 4 tickets for beer and wine on the night of the event. Additional drink tickets may be purchased at the event. A gift bag of items at the end of the night which will include event koozie, magnet, sponsor coupons, etc.!
Your ticket is a charitable contribution and can be used for a tax deduction under the laws of NC.
How much are VIP Tickets?
Tickets to the VIP lounge will be available for $50 in addition to the price of your event ticket.
What is the VIP lounge capacity?
VIP lounge will be limited to 150 sponsors and guests.
