DA4A is an amazing success 3 years running - thank you to the volunteers, artists, sponsors and guests!
For the 3rd year in a row DA4A is an amazing success. This year the sell out crowd of 550 guests bid on over 300 live and silent auction packages and helped the event gross just under $65,000! Sullivan’s lead an amazing culinary lineup which included Mura, Yancy’s, Firebirds, and Hibernian. April and George kept everyone’s glasses full and in a festive spirits while The Jazz Night Duo and the Breakfast Club filled the night with music and kept the crowd dancing.
Elizabeth Gardner was the guest emcee and peresided over the live auction while featured Artists Bobby Logic and Jeremy Hauch headlined an art lineup that included Clark Hipolito, Matt McConnell and 35 other local and national artists who donated 66 pieces of artwork.
Due to the generosity of our sponsors and the guests at the event, for the 3rd year DA4A will be able to provide the complete funding for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wake County visual and performing art programs which serve over 4,000 young people.
Event Co-Chairs Rhett Fussell and Roy Attride, and Boys & Girls Clubs Director of Volunteer Services Tia McLaurin led an amazing team of volunteers including: Lorrie Iverson, Sandy Kipp, Jan Johnston, Christina Root, Jennifer Attride, Jennifer Almekinder, David Johnston, Phil Poe, Marymac Webb. This group not only made this event possible, but also ensured its overwhelming success.
We will never be able to adequately express our full appreciation to all those who contributed their time, skills, knowledge, enthusiasm, and support to this event. It was an amazing amount of work, but the payoff in terms of success is also amazing, and could not have happened without the tireless efforts of all the volunteers.
